Today I asked a group of students to create the space around an object on a piece of paper by tearing up newspaper. I was amazed at how difficult they found it to leave a great big blank space in the centre of a piece of work. The other difficulty they encountered was how long it was taking them to make decisions due to being precious about their work.
Once i asked the to draw in to the vacant space they stuggled even more why???????
Oh well life as a teacher x
